Iced Shaken Espresso Latte with Oat Milk

What if I told you you can create your favorite coffee shop drink at home with ingredients you probably already have in your pantry? This Instant Espresso Powder is more than just a baking ingredient, but your secret to easy homemade coffee drinks.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 tablespoons lightly packed brown sugar

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 6 tablespoons water

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 2 tablespoons Instant Espresso Coffee Powder

  • ½ cup boiling water

  • Oat milk

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a small pot over medium-high heat, add the brown sugar, cinnamon, water and vanilla. Whisk to combine.

  2. Once the sugar mixture begins to bubble, reduce heat to low and simmer 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently until sugar has completely dissolved and syrup has thickened.

  3. Add the espresso powder to a mason jar or cocktail shaker. Pour the boiling water over the powder and shake to combine. Add the syrup and ice cubes to the jar and shake vigorously for about 2 minutes.

  4. Add ice to 2 glasses. Divide the espresso mixture between the glasses. Top it off with a splash of oat milk.

  5. Stir and enjoy!
