What if I told you you can create your favorite coffee shop drink at home with ingredients you probably already have in your pantry? This Instant Espresso Powder is more than just a baking ingredient, but your secret to easy homemade coffee drinks.
INGREDIENTS:
4 tablespoons lightly packed brown sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 tablespoons Instant Espresso Coffee Powder
½ cup boiling water
Oat milk
DIRECTIONS:
In a small pot over medium-high heat, add the brown sugar, cinnamon, water and vanilla. Whisk to combine.
Once the sugar mixture begins to bubble, reduce heat to low and simmer 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently until sugar has completely dissolved and syrup has thickened.
Add the espresso powder to a mason jar or cocktail shaker. Pour the boiling water over the powder and shake to combine. Add the syrup and ice cubes to the jar and shake vigorously for about 2 minutes.
Add ice to 2 glasses. Divide the espresso mixture between the glasses. Top it off with a splash of oat milk.
