A healthy and fun way to celebrate this 4th of July despite COVID-19



Family quality time, a good BBQ, fireworks and some outdoor fun sounds like the perfect recipe for a great 4th of July.


The reality is that this 4th of July is going to be different than any other 4th of July before. Right now, gathering in group, even groups of family, relatives or friends that we trust is just not safe or the best things to be doing right now. Even though we'll be staying at home this 4th of July, we can still celebrate and have a great time. Maybe you're planning a backyard barbecue with your immediate family or a virtual party with your family or friends. No matter how you are celebrating it, make it a fun day, because why not?


Not sure what do do? Here are some ideas for a fun and memorable 4th of July in the middle of COVID-19

  • Connect with family and friends over video chat

  • Light up your grill and bring on the barbecue

  • Watch fireworks on TV

  • Dress up in red, white and blue

  • Set up some serious backyard competition with badminton, volleyball or cornhole 

  • Binge-watch your favorite movies together

  • Break out a board game or puzzle

  • Go for a walk or a bike ride with your family
