12 ways to celebrate Mom this Mother's Day

This upcoming mother's day is going to be a little different, maybe a lot different than any other mother's day before. Thank you COVID-19!

Social, or better said physical distancing, should not be an excuse not to show mom your love and celebrate with her this special day.

MEMORABLE AT-HOME EXPERIENCES:

  1. Family workouts. Have fun and get moving with an activity you can all do together.

  2. Breakfast in bed. Treat mom to brunch at home — and in pajamas! Check out this pancake board for some inspiration.

  3. Relaxing soak or spa night. Let mom unwind and have some time to herself. Here are some of my favorite products for a spa at home experience gift.

  4. Take on the chores. Housework has seldom been more challenging. Surprise mom when she wakes up by presenting her with a clean house, dish-less sink, or pile of freshly folded laundry.

SELF CARE FAVORITES:

  1. Much-deserved pampering.Give mom something to look forward to when this is behind us: a stress-relieving spa treatment or salon service to freshen up homebound cuts and colors. A spa gift card is always something to look forward to.

  2. Yoga gear. Maybe she will not be able to go to a yoga class, but you can bring the class home, this gear will help her have all the basics to be able to take a class home. A yoga mat, non-slip yoga socks, or a meditation cushion can make up a great combo.

  3. A new workout outfit. did you knew you can get 2 Fabletic leggings for just $24!!! plus 50% in all other items in your first order and free shipping. And for the first time Fabletics is offering a mom and daughter matching line as a limited edition.

  4. Water bottle. Help mom stay hydrated with this fun water bottle.

  5. Wearable tech. Apple watch, Fitbit, so many options, and there one out there that fits your budget.

CONNECT WHILE STAYING APART:

  1. Distance dinner party or game night. Share smiles, play games, and celebrate mom during a virtual gathering via Zoom, FaceTime, or other video apps that allow you to bring family members both near and far together.

  2. Special delivery. Made with love, delicious and healthy, and delivered safely to her door, make mom some of our favorite better-for-you treats: healthy peanut butter rice crispy treats, healthy cookie dough bites, no bake key lime pie bars.

  3. Video montage. Seeing the faces of our loved ones can go a long way toward offsetting feelings of isolation. Compile memories you’ve filmed, or collect short videos from your siblings, relatives, or friends and put together a video filled with favorite moments or messages of thanks to and love for mom.
