Looking for the next read? Today I want to share fifteen self-help books of all time for a motivational reading.
I personally love to read self-help books, even though that wasn't always the case. I always stayed away form the self-help section at the book store. I think I had a totally mixed-up impression and understanding of what I could find on those stands. And then back in 2004 I came across the book that completely changed my life, both personally as well as professionally: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. It was this book that changed everything. Even since self-help books are one of my favorite categories to read. I am always looking for the next book to read, and always open to new recommendations. If you have any, please drop them on the comments below. In the meantime, let me share some that I personally have enjoyed over the years.
Make Your Bed, published in 2017, is based on Admiral William H. McRaven's commencement speech; that he gave to the graduating class at the University of Texas in Austin. In which he mentioned the ten principles that he learned from his Navy Seal training which helped him throughout his life. This book further teaches you how to use them to your advantage and how little things like making your bed in the morning can change your life for good. It is a very inspiring and engaging book for people of all ages. In fact, it's the best option if you're looking for self-motivation books to gift someone.
